Camille Barbone

Camille Barbone has over 23 years of entertainment experience. She oversaw the releases of many superstar artists such as Grace Jones, The Bee Gees, and Gladys Knight during her tenure at labels such as Columbia/Epic, Phonogram/Mercury, and Buddah. Later, as the founder of August Artists Management, she discovered, developed, managed, presented and signed a "new" artist we now know as Madonna. Ms. Barbone has continued to manage and develop new acts such as Clark Brown -- the lead singer of G/Z/R (Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath) -- and Birdbrain (all on TVT Records).

Studios she owned and operated included Gotham Sound and Long View Farms, the recording homes of artists from Buster Poindexter, The Monkees, and Melba Moore to The Rolling Stones, Michael Bolton, and Aerosmith. Ms. Barbone has produced many corporate-sponsored concert events including the Gospel segment of Woodstock '94. Many labels and agencies have engaged Ms. Barbone as a consultant to benefit from her broad experience, leadership, and creativity. The Circle thanks Ms. Barbone for graciously and generously agreeing to make the trip from Massachusetts to join The Circle for its inaugural meeting on April 28, 1998.

At her return visit to The Circle, Ms. Barbone will share her insights as Vice President and C.O.O. of Open Door OnLine Inc., a cutting edge, multi-faceted company with an online music site (which includes a web channel, internet radio station and other webcasted content); Open Door Records/Publishing (overseeing the selection, development and promotion of new talent); Rock N Roll Ranch (a state of the art digital recording studio for hire and for use of its artists); Open Door Distribution (global distribution for both signed and unsigned talent); www.opendoormusic.com -- one of the world's largest sites selling all major label product and those of about 4,000 indies; Open Door Internet Radio -- a full-time webcast catering to high potential unsigned and undiscovered talent.
