Frankie Cutlass

Frankie Cutlass is best known for anthemic hits like "Puerto Rico - Ho!" (Relativity/Sony) and "Shake What Your Mama Gave Ya!" In addition to being part of the Flip Squad with Funk Master Flex and DJ'ing on New York's Hot 97 (WQHT), he has also produced and collaborated with Hip Hop stars such as Notorious B.I.G., Luke, Lost Boys, Busta Rhymes, Keith Murry, Red Man, Biz Markie, and many others. In addition, Frankie has done remixes for Reggae artists such as Shaggy and Mad Lion, as well as for established Latin music artists such as Tito Nieves on his big hit, "I Like It Like That."

Recently, Frankie recommitted his life to his spiritual roots and introduced himself to the Christian music industry by remixing Nancy Jackson's first single, "Free" (Harmony/Relativity Records). He also appeared on the video with members of his new production team, The God Squad, which received rotation on many video shows including BET.

Currently, Frankie is recording for Tommy Boy Records, which released his first Gospel single, "Warfare," on the "Keepin It Real" compilation. The compilation features a "who's who" of Gospel greats such as John P. Kee, Angie and Debbie Winans, and Fred Hammond. Frankie's single, however, will be included in his new album, "Born Again: The Resurrected," scheduled for release in March 1999 by Tommy Boy.
