Ann Ruckert

Ann Ruckert produced, played and/or sung on over 3,000 commercially released recordings including many national jingles.  She worked with Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Sarah Dash, Quincy Jones, T Rex and many others.  Her work as a musical coordinator/contractor for major motion pictures includes "Housesitter" (Steve Martin, Goldie Hawn), "Boys On The Side" (Whoopi Goldberg), and "Lovesick" (Dudley Moore).  Ms. Ruckert studied at New York's Julliard School and London's Royal Academy of Music.

She continues her work as an award-winning studio musician, projects coordinator and free-lance A&R person. Ms. Ruckert's successful ProShop series at the Songwriters Guild of America recreates the creative camaraderie of the legendary Brill Building. As a result, over 60 participants have signed recording and/or publishing deals within the last three years.

Ms. Ruckert also offers many other specialized classes for vocal, song and performance techniques to maximize one's potential for a full-time recording career.  Many of her recording peers like Grammy winner Roberta Flack and Eddie Palmieri stop by to share their experiences.  This includes former students like Robbie Benson, Suzanne Vega and Lala Cope -- who wrote Whitney Houston's smash hit "You Give Good Love" during Ms. Ruckert's Saturday class.
