Ruthless Self-Promotion In The Music Industry

  The title says it all.  It really does take a sense of ruthlessness to promote yourself in this business.  To be effective, you can't go about your promotion in a casual and random way.  As I have written and lectured about many times before, one has to be consistent and persistent.  Or as Mr. Fisher puts it, you have to "become a promotion fanatic."
  Don't think you have what it takes?  Mr. Fisher is a step ahead of you.  He starts off the book with a chapter entitled "Cultivating The Ruthless Spirit."  From there, he walks you through on how to acquire these skills, developing your message, doing the research and putting together a plan of action.
  Audio and video promotions, the internet, publicity, and advertising are some of the many other topics covered in the book.  The author does more than just explain the mechanics of launching a promotional campaign.  He also discusses the art of building one-on-one personal relationships.
