  The Musician's Atlas has over 10,000 music business contacts. The Directory is conveniently organized into broad categories such as Managers & Agents, Promotion & Publicity and a whole lot more.  But the categories cover specific contacts such as retailers, photographers, retailers, and distributors.  The overwhelming wealth of information is easily manageable in that each category is further divided up by State.
  A lot of research obviously went into this 300 plus page resource. Information in the Clubs category, for example, is not limited to your usual name, address and phone number.  Rather, the Atlas goes on to include information on the best time to call, what musical styles are covered by the club, audience capacity, and whether a PA system and engineer is available.
  And again, when listing music publications, not only do they supply the contact numbers, e-mail and website address of the organization, as you would expect, but also detail the format of the publication, and more importantly the person you should contact within that organization. We always find that if you are phoning a company for the very first time, having a specific person to ask for will demand attention you may not ordinarily expect.
  Any artist, manager, publicist, road manager, or record label would certainly find The Atlas a worthy purchase to help coordinate a local, regional or even national tour or promotional campaign.  Songwriters and songpluggers may equally find sections covering film and television supervisors, producers, and publishers of interest.  There seems to be something for just about everybody in this concise directory.
